How DwellShift collects, uses, protects, and deletes your data, including room photos and generated images

Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DwellShift, the AI room design service at ai-roomdesign.com, collects, uses, protects, and deletes your information. Room photos show the inside of your home, so we treat them as private by default.
In short: your photos and designs are private to your account, are never published, and are never used to train AI models.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address, name, and sign-in details, including Google sign-in if you choose it.
- Photos and reference images you upload to a project.
- Design requests: the styles you choose, the text you write, and your conversations with the DwellShift Agent.
- Generated images and the project history in your account.
- Payment information: plan, amount, and transaction status. Card details are entered on our payment processor's secure checkout page, and we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, actions such as starting a generation, IP address, browser type, and operating system. See our Cookie Policy.
How We Use Your Information
- To create the designs you request and keep your projects available to you
- To manage your account, credits, and purchases
- To provide customer support and investigate failed generations
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse and technical issues
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it
We do not use your photos, prompts, Agent conversations, or generated images to train or improve AI models, and we do not sell them or share them for advertising.
How Your Photos Are Processed
When you start a generation, your photo and design request are sent to the image model, GPT Image 2.5, through AI infrastructure providers that process them on our behalf. Agent conversations are processed in the same way by a language model. These providers may use your content only to return the result to us, not for their own purposes or for model training.
Your uploads and results are stored privately in secure cloud storage and linked to your account. Every file request checks that it belongs to the signed-in owner. Your images are never added to the public Ideas gallery, which contains only curated examples.
Authorized DwellShift staff may view a project, conversation, or image only when needed to provide support you ask for, investigate a failed or disputed generation, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.
Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep your projects, uploads, and results while your account is active so you can return to them.
- You can remove an image from a project at any time. It is removed from your account view immediately.
- You can delete your account from Settings > Security. This removes your account and its records.
- To have all of your uploaded and generated files permanently erased from storage, email support@ai-roomdesign.com from your account email. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.
- We may keep limited payment and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted service providers to run DwellShift: cloud hosting and storage, AI infrastructure for image and language models, payment processing, email delivery, and website analytics. Each provider receives only the information it needs to perform its service for us and is not permitted to use your photos or designs for its own purposes.
Data Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that tie every file to its owner, and limited staff access. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data.
Your Choices and Rights
You can access and download your designs in your account, update your account details, delete individual images, delete your account, or ask us to erase your stored files. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data. Email us to make a request.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the date above.
